Become a Practitioner
Certified Professional Pessimism Coach (CPPC)
The CPPC is the industry's only credential for practitioners of evidence-based pessimism coaching. The program is rigorous, experiential, and by design, discouraging.
Requirements
200 hours of supervised pessimism coaching
Completion of the Validated Concern Framework™ training program
A written Concern Portfolio demonstrating mastery of concern identification, expansion, and prioritization
A passing score on the Certification Examination (pass rate: 34%; this is intentional)
Ongoing continuing education: 40 hours annually
What the Certification Does Not Include
Encouragement. We do not encourage our coaches. We prepare them.
The CPPC is accredited by the International Coaching Federation. This is under review.
Who Should Apply
The CPPC is appropriate for coaches, consultants, risk professionals, and anyone who has found that their most effective work happens when they help clients see more clearly, rather than feel better. If you have been told you are "too negative" in a professional context, we would like to hear from you.
